Few Catholics today are familiar with the story of Gabriel Garcia Moreno, the pious, saintly leader who momentarily restored Christendom's blazing light in a small corner of the earth during the nineteenth century. Garcia Moreno's significance in Catholic history is such that the Blessed Virgin Mary foresaw his presidency more than two centuries before his birth.
